Cumwhitton Viking Festival

This year Cumwhitton Parish will be celebrating its very first Viking Festival.

Early in January the young of Cumwhitton came together to make their Viking Shields in preparation for the festival.Their art work and creativity was beyond all expectations. Do come along to the festival to see their results!

SATURDAY FEBRUARY 3RD

12 NOON: Viking Movie and authentic Hot Dogs in the Villahe Hall
2pm: Viking Re-enactment, Axe Throwing Demonstrating. Story telling and demonstrations
DUSK: Torchlight Procession and Up Helly Aa Celebrations in the Viking Field.

These events are suitable for all ages, but young children must be supervised by an adult. To add to the atmosphere it would be great if as many as possible come in Viking costumes.

7pm till late: Viking Fancy Dress Party and Nordic Karaoke at the Pheasant Inn. Please book your meal directly with the Pheasant Inn.
