Macmillan Coffee Morning in the Village Hall. September 28th, 2017

What an amazing morning! To begin with there was an increadable team who baked the most delicious cakes imaginable, then there were those who made and contributed such a wide variety of items to be sold, from chutneys to lavender bags, from books to DVD’s; and finally, there was the team who set up the Village Hall, served the coffee and tea and washed up so many cups, saucers and plates. However, most importantly there were those from our Parish and beyond who came to support and gave so generously to the Macmillan Charity.

Sat around tables decorated with the last of the beautiful summer flowers folk sat and caught up with family and friends. The sound of happy chatter and laughter confirmed that we are very lucky to have such a close knit and supportive Parish. Congratulations! We have sent off a total of £619 pounds to Macmillan’s.

The photograph that supports this post is of some of the amazing “Coffee Morning” team behind the stalls of produce and cakes.
